Hi there! My name is Rob Bateman and I live in London, UK.

My main programming interest over the last 10 years has been Flash. From version 3 & 4, up through the heady, text-edited 5, videoed 6, vaguely disappointing 7, mindblowing 8, smooth as silk 9 and now 3d’d 10!

I have worked for many people in the past, the longest stint based at the BBC. These days I am kept busy with the projects undertaken by my own company Away Media Ltd, specialising in 3d Flash applications and games.

I also have a masters degree in Astrophysics that I am finally putting to good use with the maths required for the Away3d engine!

Outside Flash, my main pastimes involve my two dogs. The one in the picture is the youngest, Benji
